Village Centre
A new Village Centre will form a focal point for Kings Warren and Red Lodge, providing retail and community facilities, positioned next to a new primary school. There will also be extensive sports and leisure facilities including playing fields, sports areas and a pavilion.

Why wait until now?
In April, Forest Heath District Council gave the official notice we needed to be able to start work on the new Village Centre at Kings Warren. For many years it has been Forest Heath District Council’s intention that a village centre for Red Lodge would be provided as part of the RMC site on Turnpike Lane. However, because the RMC land has been classified as a SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest) which means it cannot be developed on, we have always planned to allocate a space within Kings Warren for an “alternative” village centre.
