New Homes

In total, the current outline planning permission for Kings Warren will have 1250 new houses and apartments, made up of the following:

Crest Nicholson – 351 new homes (we are also applying to build another 300 by the end of this year on land to the east of the existing site)

Bovis Homes – 244 new homes

Bloor Homes - 186 new homes

David Wilson Homes - 92 new homes (they will also be making an application to build another 77)

Affordable housing

Affordable housing is an increasingly important aspect of modern development - one in every six houses built by the four developers at Kings Warren is for our affordable housing partners.

Density

Kings Warren will have a variation of housing densities distributed across the development. Higher density development at 40-47 dwellings per hectare (dph) is proposed to the south west of the playing field, closest to the Village Centre and primary school. Medium density housing of 35-40 dph will form the largest part of the development and provide an appropriate transition from the higher density areas and the rural edge. On the eastern and southern boundaries of the site, densities will drop to 30-35 dph to provide a flow between the development and the adjoining countryside.
