1. Is there really a need for all this extra housing??
Yes! Both the Suffolk Structure Plan and the Forest Heath Local Plan have allocated new development to Red Lodge in order to create the community facilities that the village currently lacks, as well as to meet the wider demand for new homes in west Suffolk

Yes. The facilities we will be providing at Kings Warren are for use of all local residents, including those at Red Lodge.

Kings Warren will include a network of cycleways and footpaths, plus a new bus route, to discourage use of cars. The development is designed to give priority to cyclists, pedestrians and public transport to reduce the impact on local roads. There will also

Suffolk County Council will be releasing their proposals separately, but it is expected that the school will be open before the completion of the Kings Warren Development.

It is expected that the 1250 homes already approved will be built by the end of 2009, with construction on the land to the east running until 2012.
