Existing Development
Nearly all of the infrastructure needed to support 1250 new homes, an employment area, a primary school, a Village Centre and sports facilities is now in place at Kings Warren. This includes the main roads (including the new roundabouts at the northern and southern ends of the site) which are already being used for access to each of the developer’s sites.
Bovis Homes, David Wilson Homes and Bloor Homes have joined Crest Nicholson as part of the team that is building Kings Warren. A handful of families have already moved in to new homes within the Bovis Homes site. They are building 244 houses and flats in total. Bloor Homes will be developing 186 homes and building has now commenced. They are expecting to have people moving in to their first phase later in the year. David Wilson Homes has recently started work on their first 92 homes and will shortly be making an application for planning permission to build another 77. As the main developer at Kings Warren, Crest Nicholson started work much earlier and the 190 homes in the first phase of building are finished and occupied. Construction has begun for another 161 homes, and we will be applying for planning permission to build the remaining 300 homes by the end of this year.
In addition, work has started on the sports facilities and we have recently started to focus on the development of the new Village Centre.
