Clever Drainage
Kings Warren has SUDS (Sustainable Urban Drainage System) ditches that run alongside Warren Road and Hundred Acre Way to reduce the impact of the development on the surrounding area. The SUDS ditches collect all rain that falls on any part of the site that has a hard surface (such as roads, paths and roofs of the houses), and returns it to the ground under the site. This is instead of it being sent in a pipe somewhere else, potentially causing flooding problems.
The SUDS ditches are designed to deal with the worst weather imaginable, and are backed up by a storage pond that is hidden in the north east corner of Kings Warren, behind the Bovis Homes development.
